Description
Rolex Day-Date ref. 18038 from 1988 combines a yellow gold case with factory diamond hour markers on a gold dial. The classic 36 mm size and sharply defined case edges are particularly noteworthy. Reference 18038 belongs to the generation of Day-Date watches equipped with the Calibre 3055 and a quickset date function.
Day-Date 18038: condition and finishing
This 1988 example is in very good condition, with its case geometry clearly preserved. The dial with diamond hour markers remains clean, and the crystal, bezel, case back, and bracelet are free from scratches. The clasp functions correctly.
Movement and set
The automatic movement was recently serviced, runs very well, and is covered by a 2-year warranty from our TimeLab service. The set includes the original Rolex documentation dated 1991, the original box, a TheWatchRegister certificate, and a warranty card for the movement.
