The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak is the first truly luxurious sports watch. Designed by the legendary Gérald Genta, it became a real answer to the quartz watches taking over the market. Continuing the expansion of the Royal Oak collection, Audemars Piguet introduced reference 25977 - a tourbillon chronograph, which debuted in 2003 and was produced until 2013 in very limited quantities.
This Royal Oak Tourbillon Chronograph model impresses in every respect, from its imposing 44mm stainless steel case to the complex mechanisms it contains. Reference 25977ST immediately became an object of desire for Audemars Piguet enthusiasts, combining - from a technical point of view - two of the most valued and sought-after watchmaking complications: the chronograph and the tourbillon.
Two versions of this model were created: one with a monochrome black dial variant, and another in blue with red chronograph accents and blue Super-LumiNova. Powered by the hand-wound caliber 2889, beating at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, this behemoth provides up to 72 hours of power reserve. It is highly valued by collectors and a pleasure to wear on the wrist, especially with its visible tourbillon. Our particular piece dates from 2004 and is additionally preserved in impeccable condition, which will surely captivate every enthusiast.
