The 1979 Rolex Day-Date ref. 18038 combines a silver dial with a 36mm 18k yellow gold case. The cool tone of the dial contrasts sharply with the gold fluted bezel. Reference 18038 belongs to the Day-Date generation in which Rolex introduced sapphire crystal and the quick-set date function. This period also marked the use of the caliber 3055, which replaced the earlier 15xx series movements.
Day-Date 18038: condition and finish
The case remains in very good condition, while the bezel and bracelet show minor scratches. There are more visible signs of wear on the case back. The crystal is free of scratches, while the silver dial provides a clear background for the day and date indications.
Movement and set
The automatic Rolex caliber 3055 has been recently serviced and is covered by a 2-year warranty from our TimeLab workshop. The set includes a TheWatchRegister certificate and a 2-year mechanical warranty card.

Warranty diagnosis is made within 5 business days of receiving your claim. Depending on the fault, we may need to inspect your watch before making a final decision. Up to 14 days from the date of your online purchase, you can return this unused product in person at one of our showrooms or via courier. In the case of shipping, Rarist is responsible for arranging an insured courier service.
